THE CONCEPTS ABOUT TEAM-WORK IN THE GEETA
THE CONCEPTS ABOUT TEAM-WORK IN THE GEETA

Author firmly
  believes that The Geeta is an ocean of management principles by reflecting
  his ideologies that a team generates a positive synergy through coordinated
  efforts. Their individual efforts results in a level of performance that is
  greater than the sum of the individual inputs. |

Groups are formed
  where members interact primarily to share information’s and to make decisions
  to help each member performing within the specified area of responsibility.
  But team generates positive synergy through co-ordinated efforts.
In team, summation of
  two and two is always is greater than four. In other word, more output
  without additional inputs. Each Project consists a number of departments viz.
  “E&M, EXCAVATION, CIVIL, FINANCE, PERSONNEL, MINING etc.”
It is essential in
  team to appraise he strengths & weaknesses constantly. “The successful
  team will have a qualities combination summed in acronym team work.” When
  considering these qualities, bear in mind that every single one of them can
  be acquired.
Modern management is
  indeed he message of the Bhagavad Geeta, if he is to achieve the goal of
  their projects by the scientific and technological development of today.
  Modern manager is indeed besieged with great inner conflict and it is this
  conflict which has caused the utter disintegration of Psychological life. |

MEANING OF TEAM
  WORK:-
Trust. high
  performance teams are characterized by high mutual trust among members. It is
  well known that “Trust is a fragile. It takes a long time to build, can be
  easily destroyed and hard to regain” In Geeta, Chepter IV, sloka – 16 says
  that All the tasks shall be performed with Yukat Bhavana.

E= Enthusiasm. It was
  the Emerson who said that without enthusiasm nothing great was ever achived.
  Not only it is contagious, It is also the greatest motivator by developing
  the feeling of self – efficacy and self esteem.

(Chp.IV – 19) depicts
  that each job shall be done with an enthusiasm using their own knowledge,
  wisdom to get the perfection for their target.
A= Ambition to
  succeed. The burning inner drive to achieve the predetermined goals must be
  there in each member.

The Geeta emphasize.
  Each member shall be put to achieve the excellence within the specified zone
  without interfering other department.
M= Mutual – Interest.
  Every team player must aspire for a common purpose. But how can it be
  possible with each member having differences in Opinions, Attitude.
  Expectations etc. It is necessary to shed some of their mutual interest,
  developing a sense of selflessness as explained in The Geeta.

W = Work ability of
  goal. The goals determined by the teams must be realistic and capable of
  being worked. It is far better idea to talk in more moderate terms about
  goals. The use of superlatives should be avoid. There is a lot of deviating
  factors (Mna), internal or external viz. anomaly in promotion ladder, inter
  or intra departmental conflicts, linguistic and regional factors etc, to
  disturb the cohesiveness among departments (Indriyani) drastically. This is quoted
  that (Chp. II – 60)

O= Openness.
  Willingness to share the ides and information freely should prevail in a team
  which brings new ideas, approaches, skills and talents to the organizations
  and satisfaction to the people, ultimately paving the way for growth. The
  Geeta (Chp. XVIII – 47) says

That each member has
  a separate identity and a quite different nature. It is necessary for team
  building to recognize their nature to perform them openly, frankly and
  freely.
R= Resilience. The
  team members should have the ability to bounce back from disappointment and
  recover the strength quickly. Thomas Edison suffered hundred of failures
  before he finally invented the light bulb. There are a lot of constraints and
  restraints to achieve the result. The team shall not be pessimistic but
  believe in their utmost efforts to the excellence. The Geeta says that.

K= Key Result Areas.
  KRA are the statement of most important results expected from a team player
  holding specific job. If a project Leader succeed to make all departments
  (Indriyani) dedicated themselves willingly, then the key Result (Pragya) will
  automatically be established as depicted in The Geeta (Chp.II – 61)
